How to connect my adapter and computer so they both work:
Figure 1 shows a simple diagram of how you can set up your in home
network so that you can be surfing the web while talking on your phone.

Basically what you want to do here is have your adapter in-between your phone or your phone jack (only if you have your home isolated for VoIP phone service*) and your router or high-speed modem (only if it has two Ethernet ports).
